We wish we could go in, but.....
We recently moved to the area and wanted to find a fun gay bar to hang out at. When we arrived, we could see through the door that this was a "smoking" bar. We're used to people smoking outside. With 2 heart attacks in my past I can't sit in a room full of smoke without going to the hospital. There wasn't even a screened in lanai or breezeway that smokers (or me) could get away from the cloud of death. If you're a smoker, go enjoy and have fun. If you are a non-smoker or can't be around smoke for health reasons, go to a straight bar, those seem to have screened in smoking areas that allow for clean air areas.
Great Time, Great Place, Great Prices!
Pulse is a must see when in Port Charlotte! The Place is very nice inside, and well decorated. They almost always have something going on there. CD's, are made to feel very welcome. The barstaff was very friendly, and quick about getting drinks. They have a killer Happy Hour with $2.00 Domestic Bottles, and Real 2-4-1 Domestic Drafts! Nobody else in the area, gives so much, for so little! It will always be on my must do list, when in the area! Keep it up guy's! Thanks for the great times!!
Gays unwanted?!
When we (my lover and me) parked our car on the parking lot in front of the bar, a guy came out and closed the door - so obviousely gay-people are unwanted.

Great night out where the crowd is very friendly. The owner Ron and bartender Chris are great guys and will make you feel more than welcome. Fun nights include Boxer Night, where boxers and briefs are standard attire. Fun!!!
