Let the italian tradition of making "aperitivo" become international ( and gay). The Orange Bar welcomed already Atlantis cruisers six years ago. Campo Santa Margarita is a very convenient location, central wherever you stay and easy to find. The purpose of this gathering is having a place to get in the right mood for the 29th, instead of staying in your hotel room, tired of so much walking in the day and asking locals on Grindr about gay bars which do not exhist anyway here . It's the occasion to meet fellow cruisers and locals who might join the cruise next time. Everybody's welcome, not only LGBT *
It's a public place , so no entrance or any fees to pay, you just pay what you drink. During the first part of the evening, some appetizers will be served with the drinks at no extra charge. This we call "aperitivo alla Milanese". It helps not getting drunk immediately. LAst time people stayed till late at night, that means you can leave the place and have dinner somewhere else and then come back for another drink, or just come directly after dinner when it's cooler outside.
If there are updates I'll post them here.

About Me. Why am I doing this ?
Some of you may already have noticed that there are no gay bars in Venice. I love to live in Venice, but sometimes it's getting boring. It's summer and I wanna share some fun before the cruise with locals and other gays from all over the world. As former cruiser in 2012, I have organized gatherings at the Orange and a non official precruise party at the Hilton Molino Stucky

2013 we had gatherings at the Carlton Grand Canal and a beach Party at the Pachuka Club at Lido https://www.facebook.com/alessandro.a.delorenzo/media_set?set=a.10151828174520680.1073741833.810975679&type=3
Organizing a proper party is difficult and as there's no way of make it become an official event, doing promotion and cover the cost would be to much effort for me alone. So I'm just promoting these two nights at the Orange Bar. We'll have enough parties on board of the Eurodam. The owners of orange did an amazing job six years ago, they're not gay but they immediately agredd to host the event. Other guys in the FB group for the cruise seemed to like the idea to have a place to go to, easy to reach, welcoming. What you have to do is just spread the word if you fell like that, come, see if you like the athmosfere and relax ( or stress if that makes you happier :) )
